IX Equestrian Raid held in the City of Carmona

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the 
IX Equestrian Raid edition (endurance horse race) took place in the 
City of Carmona, competing in the different tests,
including the INTERNATIONAL RAIDS,
NATIONAL AND TERRITORIAL in their different categories and
distances (120 km and 80 km), in addition to the Andalusian Championship
of Absolute Raid (120 km) and the Promotion Raid Championship
(60 km) and other tests (60 km promotion, 40 km promotion and
initiation 20 km), with the aim of consolidating itself as a test of
national and international reference.

The test was organized by the "Club Caballista Carmona" and
sponsored by "Meydan" and "Cortijo Santa Clara" among other
public and private sponsors. It took place under the auspices of
the International Equestrian Federation, Royal Spanish Federation,
Andalusian Horse Riding Federation and with the collaboration of the Ministries
of Tourism, Commerce and Sports and Environment of the Junta de
Andalucía, as well as the City Council of Carmona. The president of the
event was the Hon. Mayor of Carmona, Mr. Juan Ávila.

The Raid discipline, horse endurance race, is
considered by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) as the
second most practiced worldwide and is now in its
greatest splendor, since it has become the main sport of the
United Arab Emirates, in addition to the European tradition.
